About the course
The parenting children course is for any parent or carer of children up to 10yrs and is both practical and fun. The course, while based on Christian principles, is relevant and helpful for any parent with or without a Christian faith or church background. Guests can come alone or as a couple.
The talks on the DVD are presented by Nicky and Sila Lee, co-authors of The Marriage Book and The Parenting Book. They have been married for more than 30 years, have four children and are on the staff at Holy Trinity Brompton – the London church that started the Alpha course.
They have taught thousands of people on the subjects of parenting and marriage, and have written books and courses which are used in many countries around the world. The talks are interspersed with filmed clips of parenting experts, and of parents and children sharing their own experiences or parenting or being parented.
Course details
Over the five sessions spent together we will learn important tools that will help you to build a healthy family life. You will be served with drinks and desserts, while listening to practical talks that are informative and fun. There will also be breaks for practical exercises and discussion times.

- Meeting our children’s needs
- Setting boundaries
- Teaching healthy relationships
- Our long term aim
Please note that childcare is not provided.
Cost and registration
The cost of the course is £15 per person. This basic charge is made to cover the cost of the refreshments, manuals and other materials.
Course dates and registration for the 2012 courses will be available early in the new year.
