Outreach·Helping the poor

Children in Grabouw, South Africa, where 34% of the population live with HIV

“Real religion, the kind that passes muster before God the Father, is this: Reach out to the homeless and loveless in their plight…” (James 1:27 – Message)

We feel that God has called us to adopt a three-pronged approach to responding to His call to reach out to those in need.

Firstly, locally: we have adopted the West Kensington community which has been identified by the government as needing rejuvenation. This work is spearheaded by our Hi Team kids and youth work.

Secondly, in Europe: we are partnering with our church in L’viv, Ukraine to reach out to the poor and needy in the Carpathian Mountains.

Finally, the Developing World: early in 2008, we sensed God challenge us to extend our ministry to reach out to the destitute in the developing world. We believe that we have a responsibility as church in a developed nation to do this. We are now partnering with one of our Every Nation churches in Somerset West, South Africa, to change the lives of children affected by the HIV/Aids epidemic via their charity, Thembalitsha.
