Outreach·Helping the poor·The Hope Challenge

During Christmas 2009 we set a target to raise £7,000 to help children affected by Aids in South Africa.
The Village of Hope in Grabouw near Cape Town, where 34% of the population lives with HIV/Aids, provides a home for these children who have nowhere else to go.
Update: We have now raised more than £9,500, surpassing our £7,000 goal – thank you to all who have given so generously in a year when many have been stretched financially.
The money will go towards:
- £1,000 to buy a jungle gym and trampoline for the youngsters
- £3,000 to lay the foundations for volunteers’ accommodation
- £3,000 to enable Daz, Lisa and Seth Muir (right) to work with the children full-time
Every Nation Church has partnered with the Village of Hope as its main long-term project to help people in the developing world. We are matching all contributions to the Hope Challenge with an equal donation, up to a total of £3,000.
How you can help
Donate your talents:
- Sell tickets to a dinner party at your home
- Run a coffee morning at work
- Do a sponsored walk/run
- Baby sit, clean windows or do gardening
- Train others in your talent
- Dye your hair for sponsorship
…and give the proceeds to The Hope Challenge.
Or give up a treat, like a coffee, a pint or a new pair of shoes.
How to give
Please put “Hope Challenge” as a reference on all giving. You can give by:

- Giving in church, using a giving envelope and marking your contribution as “Hope Challenge”.
- Or giving online at www.justgiving.com/thembalitshauk – please put “Hope Challenge” in the comments field so we can keep track of this project specifically.
